And How do you know that? Do you have a statistic? I only listen to statictics.

It also costs the Federal Government thousands of dollars of our tax money to keep it going. So your hard earned money is going to that retarded little organization. That is so retarded.

The NCLB also encourages States to set low standereds so that the NCLB wont crush them under their heel. Or, heels, anyway.

Also, Schools that are crumbling under the wicked rule of the NCLB oragization wont except failing students or special ed students. If they do, they will be forever pulverized by the NCLB. Imagine your child not getting into a school just because of the NCLB? Horrific!

We Should ban it because Good not failing students will leave under NCLB. No Child Left Behind is intended to provide resources to students that are "failing" to leave and be transported to other schools, where they may be more successful. Yet, the "succeeding" children in these "failing" schools are actually the ones utilizing the funding to go to other schools, making this a mis-allocation and use of funding.

Actually, it does serve justice if the crimes were horrible enough.

Research indicates that homework in general is extremely beneficial for students. I creates the more succsessful, confident, happy student, shaped with all things good.

Homework grows, helps, and makes many children in Elementary through fifth grade feel more achieved.

No, I don't believe you do, Librado. Please prove it, for my sake.

How do you all know? Do you have research we can view? I would like to see if, that is, if you have any.

In the article "How Important Is Homework," a summary of the U.S. Department of Education's stance on the issue provided by Kid Source Online nicely summarizes the subjective benefits of homework:

It serves as an intellectual discipline, establishes study habits, eases time constraints on the amount of curricular material that can be covered in class, and supplements and reinforces work done in school. In addition, it fosters student initiative, independence, and responsibility, and brings home and school closer together.

By simply evaluating the effectiveness of homework using behaviorist evaluation techniques such as standardized testing, one can ascertain that the short-term stimulus of assigning homework reaps the long-term response of improved student achievement.

We need hard work to have lots of fun! That's a proven fact!

What do you mean that people think we aren't Imaginative enough? Everyone is imaginative in their own way!

On homework: on standardized tests, homework-completing junior high students outperform homework non-completers by 35%. There seems to be no difference in scores in the elementary grades.

Exactly. Besides, Librado, if all you can write is 'BOOOOOOOOOO,' That proves how much homework you need!!!

Research indicates that homework in general is extremely beneficial for students. The supporting research is somewhat dichotomous indicating (1) objective benefits ascertained from standardized test scores, and (2) subjective benefits ascertained from parents, teachers, and the students themselves.

"Homework's effect on achievement can be described most accurately as above average," claims Harris Cooper in "Homework Research and Policy: A Review of Literature." (March 2000) Cooper indicates that, of twenty studies completed since 1962, fourteen are pro-homework. Of fifty studies correlating the time on homework with student achievement, Cooper states that forty-three of the studies showed students who did homework had better achievement. A typical homework-completing high school student, according to Cooper's research, will outperform students who do not do homework by 69% on standardized tests.

D.E.F Is right! You can't pass anything exceptionally without homework!!

Besides, Homework make people way more confident in what your doing.

Studys show that 69% of high schoolers passed the EOG more than high school students NOT useing homework.

It does not! If you are diligent with your time, then you certainly can get at least some of it done.
